Job Summary

Financial Analyst with a primary responsibility for supporting corporate forecasting, reporting & analysis. The team is seeking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and has the potential to influence the evolution of how NetApp looks at the business. This role reports through the Corp FP&A group, but interfaces with the broader Finance organization and the functions throughout NetApp.


Essential Functions:

Corporate Reporting & Analysis

• Support the financial close process through ownership of the monthly business review package and oversee the accuracy/consistency across the schedules

• Support the external reporting process through various report preparation ad hoc analyses as needed

• Develop and publish insightful metrics and dashboards that reveal business trends and enhance business intelligence

• Assist in the creation of the new package/analysis for Corporate FP&A team  as needed when business changes

• Partner with other analysts and management team in the process, logic, and drivers of the business review schedules



• Assist in driving the corporate forecasting review process with the businesses including Annual Operating Plans, Monthly/Quarterly P&Ls and quantify quarterly risks and opportunities


Analytics / Modeling

• Perform ad-hoc analysis of financials as needs arise (product, P&L, etc.)

• Leverage industry, geographic, technology, and historical trends to forecast future sales

• Provide business decision support through the ability to model various financial scenarios

• Assist other analysts and end users in their ability to create relevant financial models


Job Requirements

* Ability to work in a cross functional capacity, bring forth ideas, and influence change

* Strong analytical and business modeling skills with the ability to work on complex issues

* Excellent communication and presentation skills

* Detail oriented with the ability to summarize detailed analysis into key messages for management

* Data Mining and Data Scrubbing experience

* Demonstrated understanding of various financial systems, architectures, and interdependencies

* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access, SQL

* Ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and meet deadlines



- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required.

- Minimum of a BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Business Related Degree.
