Job Summary

 

As a Lead Human Resources Program Manager, you provide project management support for one or more Human Resources functions. Projects span a definable timeframe and have a beginning and an end. You work with HR specialists in defining project scope and implementation strategies. May conduct research, compile statistics and prepare analysis, and make recommendations in support of project definition. This is a challenging position working in a very fast paced environment, with the opportunity to utilize your experience as a subject matter expert to positively influence team goals, as well as greater business outcomes.

Human Resource Program/Project Managers are responsible for one or more areas of focus including:

  • Compensation, Benefits, Learning and Development
  • Global Mobility and Relocation
  • Coordinate project team responsibilities and deliverables
  • Define and gain approval for business requirements, process modeling deliverables, project plans and charters
  • Determine project cost and project timing based on scope and complexity of the project
  • Track, develop and create release calendar for project implementation
  • Track each project schedule and create a project plan with input from the cross-functional team
  • Schedule, attend and record meetings notes
  • Develop and create corporate communications plans to affected customers and stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship and support to more junior HR Project and Program Managers

  • Demonstrated project and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.
  • Strong and proven analytical skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.
  • Use judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration.

 

Responsibility and Interaction:

  • The tasks this individual is responsible for are critical to the organization's future, have wide implications, and there may be multiple outcomes.
  • This individual will apply many years of expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.
  • Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions, process changes, business initiatives, etc.
  • This individual must work effectively with Staff to Executive levels employees within the function, across functions and outside of the organization.
  • This individual is a recognized expert and exercises wide latitude in determining own objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Is seen as a leader, or 'guru' by others in the function and organization.
Education

Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent combination of applicable education/certifications/training and related experience.
