NetApp needs a self-motivated, results-oriented Product Marketing Manager to take our marketing efforts for our NetApp Kubernetes Service to the next level.  This includes driving its messaging, positioning, sales enablement and strategic partnerships alongside product management, engineers and our larger marketing organization.  You must be a strong advocate for the customer’s point of view and requirements.  It’s time to scale your tech-savvy, cloud native deployment expertise to the masses.

This is for someone who understands container orchestration, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, B2B sales, public clouds and has extremely high expectations of themselves as well as the team around them. You will be directly contributing to our corporate goals and strategic marketing initiatives.  You will lead as a technical expert who empathizes with our customer’s challenges and responsibilities and brings them to life in all new ways.  In this role, you will have an important seat at the table for technical product strategy discussions and help drive broader adoption of NetApp’s K8s services both internally and externally.  NetApp moves fast.  If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities, this may be your next home.

Job Requirements


  • Develop product positioning, messaging, a comprehensive go-to-market plan across prioritized routes, working with the Engineering and Product teams for market and competitive analysis
  • Create core content to drive annual recurring revenue including videos, demos, blogs, white papers, presentations and customer stories that clearly articulate NetApp’s differentiation and partnership with leading organizations.
  • Plan and manage execution of multi-channel campaigns for product and feature launches.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management and broader marketing heads to drive increased adoption and awareness of our K8s service in existing customer base and new target audiences.
  • Drive excellence around product launches, announcements, demand generation and content activities including tradeshows, conferences, sales kickoffs and ongoing technical sales training or channel partner training activities
  • Engage with Devs, Ops and SREs through events and social media channels to better understand their needs and even glean feedback on features and requirements
  • Lead NetApp Field Sales team through key problem identification, messaging, solution positioning, competitive displacement, key sales motions and public cloud/partner engagements to successfully win business



  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration and management, underlying persistent storage, leading cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google), cloud-native micro services, developer environments
  • Extensive customer, industry and field experience is a must.  This includes deep knowledge about Developers, their drivers and motivations and how to talk to them in their own language
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of urgency.  Must be resourceful, proactive and assertive. Startup experience required
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with a high level of integrity
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas

Extensive related experience required.


Bachelor degree in a technical discipline such as engineering or computer science preferred.
