Job Summary
We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Foundational Data Services marketing team and help us convey the value of our products in ways that deeply resonate with customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to help define the strategy for how to promote the portfolio to our customers and enable sales and channel partners. You will be responsible for defining our positioning and messaging to prospects, creating the most compelling content to help them understand our value proposition, and building the right programs to increase awareness and adoption of these offerings. This is a highly cross-functional position where you will partner closely with Product, Digital, Field Marketing, and Campaigns teams. Essential Functions:

As a Product Marketing Manager you are part of a dynamic team that delivers value to the NetApp organization and supports sales and revenue generation goals. 

  • Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with enterprises by communicating product features/capabilities in terms that these customers understand and value
  • Develop marketing programs in collaboration with Field Marketing and Campaigns teams to meet marketing objectives and revenue targets
  • Own development of audience-focused collateral, including data sheets, website pages, videos, blogs, and other materials
  • Create effective field enablement tools that highlight differentiated customer value to mobilize the sales force and channel

  • A strong storyteller with experience crafting clear and compelling messaging and developing strong content (examples will be requested)
  • Someone who can operate independently to build out new programs and initiatives
  • A team player who can work across an organization to build a plan, get alignment and execute it
  • Ability to analyze key metrics and propose or make course corrections if necessary

Nice to Haves:

  • Passion about technology with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Experience partnering with sales and channel partners to develop and implement integrated programs that drive awareness and demand


Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
