Job Summary

Come join one of the best revenue teams in the valley.  NetApp is looking for a highly motivated Senior Revenue Accountant to become the newest key member of our dynamic revenue team. This is a high-profile role where, working with both the revenue team and business partners throughout NetApp, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a broad spectrum of revenue related activities and special projects. Tremendous growth opportunities exist for those interested in demonstrating their skills and potential.  A small sampling of areas you will touch include:

  • Identifying and interpreting standard and non-standard agreement terms
  • Verifying the proper accounting treatment was applied to all transacted orders
  • Placement and release of revenue reserves and calculation of reserve requirements
  • Periodic calculation of SSP rates
  • Monthly and Quarterly close
  • Management Reporting
  • Contract Modification Accounting
Job Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the principles of revenue recognition under ASC606
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and accounting operations
  • Able to interpret technical revenue accounting guidance and apply to real world situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with the Revenue Team and establish strong cross-functional working relationship with other departments
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet firm deadlines
  • Great problem-solving skills, be a self-starter, understand business issues and be able to clearly and concisely put together recommendations and implementation plans
  • Demonstrated ability to complete ad hoc projects and analysis, answering questions from business partners and evaluating strategic opportunities
  • Assist in supporting quarterly revenue forecasting
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA Preferred
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency with Excel (advanced functions)
  • Experience with RevPro and Oracle preferred
