Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a Senior U.S. Benefits manager with extensive experience in U.S. benefits. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards and will manage a staff of experienced benefits professionals. This role will oversee the implementation and administration of US benefits plans, programs, policies and processes and help to drive global benefits philosophy. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement market competitive US benefits programs that align with company Total Rewards strategy and scale for growth
  • Keeps current on market trends, business challenges, and priorities by gathering competitive market data
  • Oversees and project manages the annual open enrollment preparation and activities, including reviewing open enrollment materials and employee communications
  • Actively manage benefits vendors relationships by reviewing performance and addressing opportunities for improvement on a timely basis
  • Partners and supports in the day-to-day administration and maintenance of the benefits vendor, health plans and insurance companies, to ensure flawless benefit administration and to support the NetApp employee experience
  • Evaluate current benefits programs and develop recommendations for consideration. Provide feedback regarding trends in employee concerns and issues
  • Partners in regular meetings with internal business partners (e.g., Finance, Payroll, and HR) and external partners (e.g., consultants, vendors) to improve the administration of NetApp’s programs
  • Assist with plan and program compliance and legal requirements and provide day-to-day interpretation and problem resolution
  • Remains current on all government regulations involving payroll and benefits, including Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA and other statutory regulations
  • Supports the preparation of government filings such as form 5500 and Summary Annual Reports
  • Help drive consistent Total Rewards philosophy and practices in US, EMEA, APAC and LATAM
  • Seek opportunities to develop, motivate and engage the team
Job Requirements
  • Ten plus years of U.S. benefits experience including plan design, program management, vendor management, administration and communications.
  • Five or more years of people managing experience
  • Bright, highly motivated, fun individual who thrives in a rapidly changing, fast paced organization
  • Excellent communication, project management and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative style to effectively build relationships with HR business partners, cross-functional teams, external vendors and any other key stakeholders
  • An Executive presence with the ability to influence senior management and work across all levels of organization. Ability to prepare and deliver executive level presentations
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop your team
  • High integrity with positive customer service orientation
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, SAP Success Factors HCM
  • Experience in international benefits is valuable but not required.
Education
BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 10+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
