Job Summary

For NetApp to accelerate growth over market rates the partnerships with our most strategic Global Partners are critical

NetApp is launching a differentiated program for our Global Transformation Partners that raises the profile, mutual dependencies, level of engagement and investment structure for a limit set of high-growth Digitally transforming partners committed to exponential growth and unique affiliation.

To ensure the complex and varied opportunities that these partnerships bring are optimized NetApp is creating a specific role in the Pathways organization to create strategy plans, build investment strategies, manage to an agreed upon objectives, monitor timely deliverables and drive accountability through the partners and NetApp teams.

This individual will be the Worldwide owner of the agreed GTM plan and drive collaboration through sales, technical, programs, marketing and operations teams at both the Partner and NetApp.

The responsibility of delivering against the objectives will remain with the Pathways account teams in Geo and at a WW level.

The target is to create strategic multi-year plans w/ 15-20 Global Partners. We suspect it will take 1 year to complete these plans thus it will be done in phases based on the strategic importance of that partner to our Digital Transformation strategy and their growth commitments.

The successful individual for this role must demonstrate proven success in:

  • Designing and developing aligned and measurable ecosystem sales and go-to-market plans and investment strategies aligned to company priorities that increase revenue performance and profitability.
  • Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to uncover and unlock growth and innovation opportunities for consistent, long-term value.
  • Orchestrating multiple collaborators to combine and prioritize unique opportunities into a clear and measurable multi-regional plan
  • Owning a structured, multi-stakeholder program environment that effectively integrates and aligns programs, finance, marketing, Geo sales, Worldwide sales and executives from all relevant parties.
Job Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience in Operations, Partner Management, Business Development or Program Management
  • 5+ years of large-scale partner management experience; preferably working with the largest global technology, software and services vendors.
  • Clear track record of delivering innovative global business planning (reseller, referral, distribution, etc.) initiatives at scale.
  • Clear track record of managing complex projects and programs while demonstrating exceptional business judgement.
  • Proven ability to get the best from team members located internationally
  • Proven ability to navigate and manage complex internal Vendor relationships

Scope of Role

  • This is a Global role based from North America
  • Approximately 20% travel including international

BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 7+ years -- plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
