Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, the Sr. Director  of Revenue is a senior management position responsible for leading the Company’s revenue function which covers revenue policy, accounting, systems, reporting and process transformation on transactions originated from all geographies (North Americas, EMEA and APAC), and reported by all revenue classifications (Product and/or Software License Revenue, Maintenance & Support, Professional Services and Training). The Director will lead a team of approximately 22 and collaborate with other finance and field functions within the Company to ensure that the Company’s revenue is transacted, documented, and reported properly and timely pursuant to GAAP in a fast-paced high technology company.

 

Essential Functions:
. Responsible for leading all aspects of the Corporate revenue function including accounting for the Company’s worldwide revenue and reserves, defining revenue policy, implementing process and system improvements, understanding implications of business decisions and contracts, and ensuring effective SOX controls exist.
. Build and improve processes to accommodate changes in sales models.
. Keep current with new GAAP requirements and implement changes as required.
. Provide insight to revenue forecasting to facilitate the Company’s ability to execute operational goals and objectives.
.Continue to align the revenue resources and skills with the Company’s focus on scalability.


 

Job Requirements

• 15+ years experience in both financial support functions in industry and public accounting firms, with progressively more leadership responsibility.
• In-depth experience managing all revenue functions.
• Solid/expert understanding and experience dealing with regulatory requirements on software revenue recognition including ASC 605/606 and other pertinent authoritative interpretations.
• Extensive experience leading interactions with auditors on complex revenue issues.
• Be a leader of high integrity with mature management, process, organizational, and facilitation skills.
• Be able to think strategically and plan effectively; be hands on, detailed and results oriented; manage multiple tasks against deadlines.
• Successful with driving change management while collaborating with and gaining buy-in from key stakeholders.
• Proven ability to challenge the status quo, with a clear vision for improvement and demonstrated ability to execution, strong analytical skills, professional and technical judgment to identify revenue risks inherent in the existing processes.
• Strong working knowledge of the Order to Cash process flow.
• Effective communicator and presenter that can interact with all levels.

Education

Education and Experience:

. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a people manager.
. Corporate revenue management in a software / hardware company.
. A BS in Accounting, Finance or Related Field is required; a MBA or CPA is preferred.
. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, critical projects is required.
