Job Summary

Manages the activities of the America’s Financial Planning & Analysis team that supports the America’s Enterprise and Commercial Field Sales Leadership team. Influences the America’s Enterprise and Commercial Finance Sales multi-year business plan and translates into a supporting investment framework that prioritizes the allocations of the resources against key strategic goals. Reviews and approves recommendations for financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team. Monitors division and department adherence to approved budget. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Primary finance business partner to the Americas Geo Sales VP and their leadership team, covering Canada, Latin Americas, and the United States Private Sector
  • The focus of this role is on influencing America’s Enterprise and Commercial Finance GTM and Functional Strategies and translating them into operational plans and priorities. May develop functional strategies.
Job Requirements
  • Influences and executes key GTM strategies, including comp design, comp policies, channel partner structure & compensation, field marketing strategy, sales coverage models, account and territory planning
  • Responsible for leveraging the finance COE and sales tools and systems to ensure the field has adequate dashboarding around the health of the GEO, including sales forecasting, sales trends, discounting & pricing, pipeline analytics, lead generation analytics, customer intelligence, market intelligence, and competitive intelligence
  • This position is responsible for directing and controlling activities at the most senior level within the function and designated geographic area.
  • Ensuring that effective internal controls, including robust planning systems to appropriately manage risk, are maintained throughout the company.
  • Structuring deals and executing contracts in line with Internal Approval Matrix and ensuring NetApp’s standard terms and conditions are adhered too.
  • The potential impact of decisions made by this individual have significant operational or financial impact on the performance standards of the function and may impact the company’s success.
  • This individual will use in-depth knowledge to solve abstract issues and assess intangible variables and establish long-range plans.
Education and Experience
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience 15+ years
  • Professional Accounting Qualification or MB A will be desirable
  • This individual must demonstrate strong leadership skills by establishing clear goals, objectives and priorities that communicate the organization’s vision.
  • Works with Senior Management and Vice President level employees addressing issues across companies and functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, especially presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required
  • Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues.
  • Fostering pragmatic risk taking and mitigation.
  • Being a proactive change agent.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting including thorough skills knowledge plus the application of general accounting theory.
  • Prior experience at Director Level providing business partnering services to the Field and developing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Expertise in the following areas: Strategic Accounting and Finance- Financial/Business Planning and Analysis- Internal/IT Audit- Internal/External Reporting Support- GAAP, FASB, SOP, SEC- Financial Systems/ERP Consulting
