Job Summary

Future Entry Systems Product Line Manager:   Future Entry Systems Product Line Manager is responsible for defining and launching NetApp's Entry System Portfolio.   This includes managing the product through the Product LifeCycle (PLC) phase gates to articulate market opportunity, detailed product requirements, and owning trade-off analysis and prioritization for the Entry System Portfolio.   The Product Line Manager evaluates business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market trends, new technology, customer business issues and the competitive environment. Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to define and deliver products that meet or exceed forecasted bookings and delight our customers.  Works closely with the customers to understand business needs and current pain points.   Works closely with engineering and operations to understand functionality options and timing as solutions to identified product/customer requirements.   Has strong outreach to customers to understand key business pain points to map product capabilities to customer needs.

Job Requirements

Track record of defining and launching highly successful product lines through keen focus on market drivers, customer pain points and technology assessment.   Excellent communication skills and ability to create appropriate messaging for different audience both verbal and written.

Education

15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; MBA desired.
