Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Foundational Data Services marketing team and help us convey the value of our products in ways that deeply resonate with customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to help define the strategy for how to promote the portfolio to our customers and enable sales and channel partners. You will be responsible for defining our positioning and messaging to prospects, creating the most compelling content to help them understand our value proposition, and building the right programs to increase awareness and adoption of these offerings. This is a highly cross-functional position where you will partner closely with Product, Digital, Field Marketing, and Campaigns teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and driven individual to work on a large-scale business and make a global impact.

Essential Functions:

As a Product Marketing Manager you are part of a dynamic team that delivers value to the NetApp organization and supports sales and revenue generation goals. 

  • Analyze competitive intelligence, industry trends, market position, market share and growth rates to shape business strategy
  • Craft highly differentiated messaging and positioning; design initiatives to sustain awareness of our offerings
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally with Product Management and Marketing teams in the prioritization, design and development of products and experiences

Requirements:

  • A customer-first mentality
  • Solid knowledge of the IT vendor ecosystem with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to solve problems that are unique and extremely complex
  • A strong storyteller with experience crafting clear and compelling messaging and developing strong content
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, with external parties, and at all levels up to and including Vice President
  • Requires limited supervision in operating, driving results and setting priorities
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
