Job Summary

Job Summary

As the VP, Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will orchestrate and run the CEO's office. It is a highly visible role that acts as a force multiplier, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in developing and driving the strategic business. As an equal and trusted member of the CEO Staff, you will be the liaison, influencer, and aggregator that ensures that the Senior Executive team operates as a high-performing team while ensuring that the company's highest priorities are successful. 

Key Responsibilities
The primary functions are operational execution, business insights and analytics, planning, and project management, driving cross-functional collaboration, and serving as the integrator helping to connect workstreams that may otherwise remain siloed. You will navigate a rapidly evolving dynamic and organization to manage a broad range of activities and projects of varying degrees of complexity shifting from strategy to tactical execution, as needed.

•    Influence outcomes and impact change as an honest broker and truth-teller when the CEO and CEO Staff needs a wide-ranging view and sounding board
•    Work with the CEO and the extended leadership team to help develop goals, work with the key initiative owners to formulate their business plans and translate these goals into concrete milestones; monitor and review milestones and deadlines with key executive           stakeholders and the Board of Directors. Help define key performance indicators and work with the CFO to create and update dashboards to track progress on milestones
•    Manage multiple high-profile projects simultaneously across a distributed set of internal and external stakeholders without direct ownership of resources by fostering cross-company collaboration and alignment of resource investments, readiness, and functional             action plans for cradle-to-grave portfolio management
•    As part of the Annual Operating Planning process, you will work with the various CEO Staff Members to ensure that operational agreements are tied off across the functional departments to ensure a consistent and integrated operational plan that supports the                 company's annual financial plan
•    Manage team communications and drive speed and quality of information and communication flows across the organization and the Board of Directors. Partnering with the CEO Communications team and with the Marketing Communications team to drive impactful       internal and external comms by working with functional experts to create messaging content for team meetings, events, and social media, including the strategy, coordination, and content for conferences, analyst and press events, customer and partner interactions,       governments, and employee all hands
•    Serving as an air traffic controller and gatekeeper, work with various stakeholders to coordinate participation
•    Facilitate discussions and participate in healthy debate where necessary to test ideas and help drive to the right outcome
•    Work closely with the extended leadership team to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to improve organizational health as indicated by key organizational health metrics 
•    Represent the CEO and NetApp in various community activities

Job Requirements

Requirements 

•    High level of integrity, stellar judgment, and discretion to handle and manage the full scope of highly sensitive, confidential, and non-public information dealt with by the Office of the CEO 
•    Ability to orchestrate strategic and complex cross-functional business activities and projects with sharp business acuity, creativity, and attention to detail
•    Substantial individual contributor with a proven track record of driving results by directing cross-functional teams with people at different levels across disparate groups
•    Critical thinking and analytical/problem-solving skills, and the ability to combine and balance qualitative analysis with a proven understanding of strategy, operations, interpersonal and technical competencies
•    Comfort with ambiguity and proven ability to create clarity 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications
•    A successful track record in a similar role for 500+ million-dollar revenue companies with multiple CEOs and GMs, across good times, bad times, and through transitions
•    10+ years of experience working directly for C-level executives, and with numerous groups and functions in enterprise technology companies, high-growth software or software-related services businesses experience preferred 
 

Education

Bachelor of Arts of Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
