General Summary:

This role is for an experienced leader with an eye toward collaboration and embraces eLearning in all its formats. The primary leadership role is to formulate the strategy to drive corporate learning direction, goals and policies. Partners with IT and others to disseminate knowledge and information to the learner through technology platforms, social media, and F2F classroom settings. This position also drives the strategy and execution of our Education Services product line aimed at high value, for fee customer training.
 

The incumbent is responsible for bringing it all in at or under budget. This leadership position ensures NetAppU develops and delivers effective training solutions for its clients (internal and external). In addition, provides infrastructure services, learning/courseware design services, delivery options and metrics to other NetApp functions including legal, finance, IT, and Product Operations.

 

Experience in leading the development and implementation of significant, leading-edge learning and/or knowledge management solutions at a strategic, tactical and behavioral level in a global company.
 

The position oversees a geographically diverse team of direct badged employees, specialized contractor services and a network of authorized learning delivery partners throughout the world.

Possess high levels of intellect, drive and energy. Strong collaboration, process improvement and interpersonal skills required.

Job Requirements

  1. Align with the business vision:  Steering the learning journey, in line with business to deliver on the objectives. The VP must understand and talk business—how training is impacting the revenues, operating margins, customer satisfaction levels, employee experiences, and overall productivity.
  2. Design a learning vision: The VP must devise an effective learning vision, based on the above-outlined business goal.
  3. Look for a growth mindset: Learning is a journey of accepting change, and these people must be comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty. The organization as a whole must thrive on the values of speed, agility, and change-readiness.
  4. Maintain a start-up mindset: Think lean, agile, and flexible, where idea generation is encouraged. Encourage people to innovate: for this, you must create a culture that allows people to make mistakes, and learn from them
  5. Look out for latest trends: Must keep pace with what is happening in the learning and development industry. Look out for the latest in training design, development, and deployment, many of which are driven by technology.
  6. Deliver and demonstrate value: Translate the learning outcomes to business metrics, and the value added in organization.
