Job Summary

Global supply management is a strategic and proactive organization responsible for NetApp and NetApp’s customer success through strategic supply planning and tactical execution.  As a member of the team, you will be utilizing existing tools and developing new tools to plan global material supply pipelines to achieve business objectives in a balanced way to maximize material availability and schedule fidelity, while minimizing associated costs.

Essential Functions:

  • Leverage supply planning principles to create and communicate strategic supply plans to meet key business objectives
  • Responsible for dynamic supplier forecasts and commits, and collaborate cross functionally with suppliers and internal team members to make adjustments as needed
  • Create and monitor consumption
  • Utilize systems and tools to manage supply, communicate issues, and drive efficiency
  • Work with contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders to close supply gaps
  • Enhance and maintain relationships and lines of communication with internal and external partners
  • Establish and maintain operating policies and procedures to achieve production schedules, quality standards and operational costs
  • Provide external and cross-functional leadership for problem resolution and facilitate continuous improvements, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Communicate risks and issues which may impact desired business objectives
  • Ensure projects adhere to the company processes and initiate process improvements as needed

Job Requirements

  • Computer and application proficient:  MS Office, SAP/Oracle, SAP IBP, Agile, experience with Tableau or PowerBI a plus
  • General understanding of ERP/MRP and shop floor control systems
  • Technical skills in supply planning, inventory management, and production scheduling
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.

  • This position is responsible for managing many tasks within a large group or department.
  • The potential impact of decisions made by this individual will be mostly operational with some financial.
  • This individual will apply tools, experience, knowledge, and relationships to address issues that are diverse in scope, and resolve problems through short- and mid-term planning.

Education

  • Minimum of 8-10 years supply planning experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is required

Compensation:
The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range.
