Title: Account Technology Specialist

Job Summary
As an Account Technology Specialist in NetApp's Sales function, you will primarily provide pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
You will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with vendors, partners and sales to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers.
Essential Functions:
- Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions.
- May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions.
- May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client.
- May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Travel to the prospective customer's sites as necessary
Responsibility:
- As a seasoned professional with a wide range of experiences, this individual uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Responsible for a specific geographical install base and large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts.
Interaction:
- This individual effectively works with, and influences senior internal personnel within the function, employees in other functions that support the sales effort, and has direct customer contact.
- Limited management supervision and direction is provided since this individual operates and drives results independently.
- The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert and strongly influences sales team decisions and initiatives. May also act as a team leader and major decision maker for team projects.
Education
- 6 to 10 years of experience is preferred.
- Familiar with EMC, HDS, HPE, IBM, VMware or PureStorage (at least one vendor)
- Well know with industry
- Interest and passion with Docker/Container & Kubernetes(K8S) platform
- Interest and passion for hybrid multi-loud Technologies (Cloud certified is better)
- Interest and passion with AI Platform
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required. A Graduate Degree is desired.
- Experience which demonstrates a significant level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
- Specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth.
