Job Summary

As a Technical Content Developer 4 you are a key planner and strategist for the organization.  You will proactively work with Curriculum Manager and help to analyze, plan and design curriculum(s).  You will be a subject matter specialist and provide recommendations on curriculum and deployment strategies.  To be successful in this role, you will be innovative, experienced with designing highly interactive video and digital courses. You will also possess strong project management, relationship building, and specific subject matter skills, as well as have a strong technical understanding of NetApp’s storage and cloud related technologies. 
 
Description
•    Learner-obsessed, detail-oriented technical content developer to create industry leading content that our customers love to consume. 
•    Apply best practice learning, content design and development knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to deliver impactful and measurable, blended-training deliverables that will achieve the goals of the learners.
•    Design and develop courses that are engaging and relevant for various course modalities including digital content for eLearning, micro-learning, video-based learning, Instructor-Led Training (In-Classroom and virtual) and On-demand classes. 
•    Create design documents, storyboards, PowerPoint decks, and strong visual aptitude to take complicated concepts from subject matter experts and portray it into a simpler visual or graph.  
•    Begin with the end in mind, building assessments to check for learning.  and 
•    Utilizes available learning resources/toolkits (e.g. learning theories/strategies, data analysis, course authoring tools, web and virtual platforms, video production and streaming tools, branding, software simulators, content repositories, LMS) to create                                 asynchronous/synchronous learning, supporting content (e.g. job aids, user guides) and evaluation tools (e.g. assessments, knowledge checks, etc.)
•    Explore, evaluate, and recommend emerging learning strategies to the team
•    Recommend appropriate learning-evaluation methods are used to design, conduct, and evaluate instruction
•    Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, implementing processes and interfacing with internal teams and external contributors. This role requires strategic thinking and problem solving, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be an organized          self-starter with a strong bias for action and the ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide guidance for projects.
 
 
Job Responsibilities
•    Consult with stakeholders and program owners on defining the learner requirements of courses that meet the need.
•    Analyze and translate business needs and task analyses of specific job role(s) into training and enablement content and aligned learning objectives.
•    Implement and manage the content creation and review process for Sales and Pre-Sales courses.
 

Job Requirements

A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in technical course development is required. 
•    A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or other related technical field; or a Master of Arts Degree in Instructional Design; or equivalent experience is required.
•    Technical background in one or more of the following areas is desired:
•    UNIX, Windows, NAS, SAN or Object Storage System Administration
•    Databases like SAP, Oracle, SQL. 
•    Industry recognized certification like 
•    Technical competency to have design level interactions with Subject Matter Experts.
•    Experience in development with eLearning tools such as Captivate, Articulate 

Education

A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or other related technical field; or a Master of Arts Degree in Instructional Design; or equivalent experience is required.
•    Technical background in one or more of the following areas is desired:
