Job Summary

NetApp provides enterprise-grade data management solutions through AWS FSx for NetApp ONTAP. Our growing public cloud services team seeks a technical solutions architect to drive adoption across manufacturing, automotive, and energy sectors in the Central US region. This role will focus on helping customers modernize their operations through cloud-native data solutions.

Job Requirements

•   Design and architect cloud solutions for manufacturing, automotive, and energy customers transitioning workloads to AWS
•   Conduct technical workshops and proof-of-concepts demonstrating FSx for ONTAP’s capabilities in industrial environments
•   Partner with AWS field teams to identify and qualify opportunities within target verticals
•   Evangelize NetApp’s cloud solutions at industry events and customer executive briefings
•   Develop reference architectures and technical content focused on manufacturing and energy use cases
•   Maintain technical expertise in cloud services, particularly around industrial IoT, digital twin, and analytics workloads
•   Strong understanding of cloud architecture and AWS services
•   Experience conducting customer-facing technical workshops and proof-of-concepts
•   Familiarity with container technologies and orchestration platforms
•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•   AWS certification preferred but not required
•   Ability to travel up to 30% within the Central US region
•   Self-motivated with ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent projects
•   Strong technical acumen with aptitude for learning new technologies
•   Experience in qualifying customer needs and designing appropriate solutions
•   Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
•   Track record of achieving revenue goals through technical solutions
•   Background in infrastructure modernization projects
•   Lead architectural workshops for major manufacturing and energy customers
•   Develop specialized expertise in industrial cloud solutions
•   Contribute to technical content and thought leadership
•   Mentor team members and share best practices
•   Drive organizational initiatives across multiple geographies

Education

• 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, preferably with exposure to manufacturing or energy sectors
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 171,530 - 221,980 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
