Job Summary

Spot by NetApp delivers application-driven cloud infrastructure, which uses analytics and machine learning to continuously drive cloud resource performance and cost optimization for compute & storage, while adapting to the applications needs. 
We are looking for a seasoned, experienced Product Designer to join our Containers business unit, to help us take our Ocean product experience to new heights and showcase our customer obsession with the best UI possible.

  • As part of the product team, you will have an impact on how our features and products are built from the very first steps of the ideation phase, so you will have to be well versed in business, technology, roadmap and strategy aspects of our products.
  • Solve complex design problems and turn user stories and roadmap requirements into intuitive, clear and effective user flows and experiences. 
  • Follow features throughout their full life-cycle: from ideation to implementation, hands on in every stage: wireframes, prototypes, design mocks, guidelines & documentation, last minute changes, research, customer and stakeholders feedback, next phases and QA. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and development teams to deliver high-level results, with attention to detail, craft, and consistent look & feel between products. 
  • Provide high-fidelity demos for customer reviews 
  • Create UX specifications and guidelines 
  • Conduct user research, interviews and monitor usage of shipped features in production 
  • Assist in maintaining and evolving our Design System, in collaboration with our front-end developers, to ensure the UI is consistently implemented across our product console. 
  • Contribute to improving design practices and culture in the organization. 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with marketing design team to ensure brand compliance and fluent visual imprint 
  • Work closely with the development team - UX specifications & guidelines, design QA and supporting FR devs throughout the sprints
  • Participate in Spot UX Guild meetings and events, as well as larger, across NetApp UX teams alignments and meetups. 

Job Requirements

You should apply if you:  

  • Understand the complexity and specificity of designing user experience and interface for B2B services, with a variety of user and customer definitions and business goals.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • Have got experience designing software services for professional and technological users OR have the ability to quickly pick up the technical parts of the job.
  • Are capable of expressing your ideas and opinions in a cohesive, communicative and compelling way, and can hold your ground in professional discussions. 
  • Are curious, inquisitive and always after learning new things. 
  • Understand the importance of designing whole flows and solutions rather than individual screens or elements. 
  • Have profound understanding of Design Systems.

  • Great soft and people skills.
  • Prototyping skills Experience with UX research (user interviews, collecting and analyzing data).
  • Bachelor degree in Visual Communication. 
  • Experience working with Figma.
  • Tech savviness.
