Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Solution Expert (PSE) to serve as a technical authority for NetApp data management, storage, and cloud solutions.

The PSE will provide expert-level technical leadership, advanced troubleshooting, architectural guidance, and operational best practices for ONTAP-based cloud services. This role combines deep ONTAP expertise with cloud architecture knowledge to support customers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders in designing, operating, and optimizing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud storage solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with ONTAP technologies and a strong understanding of public cloud platforms and cloud-native storage architectures.

Responsibilities

Serve as the technical authority and primary escalation point for complex issues involving NetApp ONTAP-based cloud storage solutions.
Provide expert analysis, troubleshooting, architectural guidance, and recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor, helping define operational best practices and long-term storage strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
Design, configure, administer, and optimize NetApp ONTAP solutions in public cloud environments, including storage provisioning, data protection, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring and enabling technical support and engineering teams.
Develop and implement storage strategies, standards, and best practices aligned with business and cloud architecture goals.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to storage infrastructure, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
Provide guidance on data protection, disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and business continuity strategies utilizing ONTAP technologies.
Partner with cloud architects and customers to design and implement scalable, secure, highly available, and cost-effective ONTAP-based storage solutions.
Participate in performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization of FSx for ONTAP environments.
Recommend integration approaches between ONTAP solutions and cloud-native services, applications, and platforms.
Stay current with advancements in NetApp ONTAP, public cloud technologies, and storage best practices.
Participate in an on-call rotation and support critical issues across global time zones as required.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, cloud certifications) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a NetApp ONTAP Subject Matter Expert, with a deep understanding of NetApp ONTAP storage solutions, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of storage and data management concepts, protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, iSCSI), and technologies (e.g., RAID, snapshots, replication).
- Experience in providing expert level support, with advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.
- Strong understanding of public cloud infrastructure and services, including experience with one or more major cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Proficiency in cloud architecture concepts and experience designing, implementing, and operating ONTAP-based solutions in public cloud environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with advancements in NetApp ONTAP and cloud technologies.
- Flexibility to work across different time zones to support global operations.
