Job Summary

Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory/product line. If incumbent is responsible for both existing and new accounts, match to Sales Account Manager - Direct - New Accounts (S631-S635). If unable to distinguish between levels or only one level of account manager within the company, match to the career level. The most highly populated individual contributor level (up to 75-80% of the individual contributor sales population) might be matched to the career level. No more than 15-20% of individual contributor sales population would typically be matched to the advanced level. National (country-wide) account managers should be matched to the Country Strategic Account Manager set of jobs.

- Strong verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions.- Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems. - Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions. Responsibility and Interaction:Responsibility: - This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems. - Is responsible for a specific geographical install.- May have own small to medium accounts or work on a team.Interaction: - This individual effectively works with internal personnel.- General direction is provided to them by their manager on routine work, and detailed direction is provided on new projects and assignments; as well as on-going review of activities and priorities.- The ideal candidate contributes proactively to sales team efforts and positively influences decisions of the team.

Education

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
