Job Summary

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you provide the highest level of support for NetApp’s business unit partners.


  • You are the business partner to all Global Enterprise Managers in your assigned territory (country or area). You will support the GEM's in creating account plans, margin recovery plans as well as support them in setting up global deal structures, produce deal economics and support the GEM's with the internal approval process, supported by other functions. You will build relations with your Finance peers in the Global Accounts and participate in customer negotiations where useful.
  • In the above, you seek full understanding of the opportunity, challenge proposed solutions and look for (better) alternatives. This will result in delivering Deal Economics including revenue phasing and eventually help winning the opportunity.
  • You will be able to provide deal support independently as well as part of a larger team, depending on the opportunity. You are hands on while same time able to look at the "bigger" picture
  • You are the Subject Matter Expert on US-Gaap Revenue Recognition (SOP 97-2/98-9, SAB 104 and related EITF releases and TPA’s).
  • Together with your peer Commercial Finance Manager, you are first point of contact for Corporate US Revenue teams and educate your Field Finance peers in EMEA. To this end you develop training material, both to be used to educate your Field Finance peers as well as by them, educating their Sales teams.
  • You will utilize your strong financial background and business acumen to positively contribute to the department’s goals and vision.
  • The position is reporting into Director level. 
Job Requirements
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Great interpersonal communication skills as needed to work successfully with staff and managers within and outside of function as well as staff at various levels up to VP level.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic, international environment with competing priorities.
  • Ability to follow and explain standard accounting and finance practices and departmental procedures and processes.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required. 
  • A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of US-Gaap Revenue Recognition rules (SOP 97-2/98-9, SAB 104 and related EITF releases and TPA’s)
