The Head-Office of NetApp for Europe, Middle East & Africa is located at Schiphol-Rijk and employs approximately 350 people. NetApp’s business has continued to grow year over year. To be able to maintain our high level of client support we are currently looking for a:
Commercial Deal Architect 

In this role you will be one of the two Commercial Deal Architects in EMEA, working closely together with Sales Leadership and Account teams on creating the winning commercial offering for our key accounts. Location for the role can be London, Munich or Amsterdam.

Key Focus
  • Support in setting up account strategies
  • Cooperate/Advise on Deal structure to Sales Teams & Leaders and translate into financial insight in deal, risk, pricing & margins.
  • Analyze Account Profitability & Commercial Risks
  • Provide Training to Sales and wider Finance Teams 
  • Work cross-functional (review/approvals)
  • Support design and implementation of new commercial offerings
  • Align with Corporate teams in US on Revenue Recognition, compliance and approvals
  • Provide training material & best practices to Sales and sales leadership which may include: 
    • Updates on financial and accounting standards likely to impact on sales execution. 
    • Best practice training for field sales including: 
      • Deal qualification and criteria 
      • Commercial and financial drivers in negotiations
  • Educate wider EMEA Finance team on: 
    • pricing strategies
    • complex deals
    • new offerings and 
    • best practices to elevate the level of knowledge within the team
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required. 
  • A University Degree, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Solid understanding of US-Gaap Revenue Recognition rules (SOP 97-2/98-9, SAB 104 and related EITF releases and TPA’s)
