Job Summary

 

Positions and sells the full NetApp portfolio of products, services and solutions and maintains relationships with one of our key growing Global Accounts, Barclays, on a worldwide basis. Primary responsibilities include expanding and developing the global relationship with a Global Account; mainly Barclays but could include managing on top the local business of one or two non-UK headquartered financial Global Accounts. Managing the Global Account Barclays though will be at least 80% of the job.

 

The Global Enterprise Manager (GEM) manages globally the virtual team connected to this Global Account, setting both the mid and long term strategy as well as managing the day-to-day operational activities and coordination towards this important customer.

Job Requirements

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, business and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel, working closely with local and international sales managers, sales representatives, channel partners, and eco-system alliances. Occasional travel outside of EMEA region required, but majority of travel expected within the region.
  • A strong understanding of the sales processes as well as working with & leveraging Channel (sales and partners) as well as System Integrators/Global Transformation Partners, and Alliance Partners relevant for the Global account
  • High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, constantly transforming NetApp organization that is moving from HW to SW and Cloud Services, from Capex to Opex models, from Direct to Partner and Cloud Provider business models, from Storage as main focus to Hybrid Cloud Data Services, etcetera. Positioning NetApp as the Data Authority for the customer’s hybrid multi-cloud journey.
  • Thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, products, marketing strategies, etc.
  • Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.
  • This person is a seasoned professional with a wide range of experiences, this individual uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Preferably several years of relevant experience in selling into Financial Services Industry at international level.
  • Interaction: this individual effectively works with, and influences senior internal personnel within the function, employees in other functions that support the sales effort, and has direct customer contact at both operational, tactical and strategic level within the customer. Since this is a senior salesperson limited management supervision and direction is needed since this individual operates and drives results independently. The ideal candidate has proven track record in leading internationally large customer engagements, projects and teams and acts as a virtual team lead for a large Global account.
