Job Summary

As an Inside Sales Executive in the NetApp Public Sector sales function, you will be responsible for supporting sales in identifying and contacting new customers. You will utilize your new business and sales hunting skills to build inspiring and engaging relationships with customers over the phone. You will lead very specific campaigns to gather information, drive attendance at events, create appointments and execute broad sales campaigns. The role reports directly to Tim Skinner. 

Essential Functions

The essential responsibilities of the Sales Executive is to work directly over the telephone with new customers to capture new sales.

  • Focus on new customer acquisition
  • Identify new contacts and establish new relationships
  • Identify new customer names and build customer intelligence
  • Identify market segments and gather intelligence
  • Identify market trends and map to our solution sets
  • Focus on white space within the Public Sector Focus 600 accounts
Job Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills including presentation skills.
  • Organized and able to follow department processes and work flow.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and across functions.
  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems. 
  • Ability to convey information clearly and analysis as needed to help customer make buying decisions.
Responsibility and Interaction

Responsibility:  

  • This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems. 

Interaction: 

  • This individual effectively works with internal personnel.
  • Regular and detailed direction is provided to them by their manager on regular work; as well as on-going review of activities and priorities.
  • The ideal candidate contributes proactively to sales team efforts.
Education & Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred.
  • A University degree is required. 
  • Experience which demonstrates a proficient level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
