Americas Marketing at NetApp plays a critical role in successfully driving our solutions into the marketplace. In partnership with Sales, Global Marketing and business partners, Americas Marketing leverages our understanding of channel partners, customer needs, market trends and industry environments to create awareness and demand for NetApp solutions.


The USPS Federal Channel Marketing Manager is a strategic position that works to integrate NetApp marketing strategies and sales goals into the channel partner’s go-to-market plan. This role owns a set of strategic Channel Partners (VARs) and manages the day-to-day relationship with partners to develop joint marketing plans and drive alignment of NetApp focused priorities. 

The right candidate will be a collaborative, seasoned channel partner marketer with an impressive track record, thrives on solving challenges creatively and adept at navigating ambiguity.  Success is achieved when marketing spend and programs are maximized, enabling NetApp and their key Channel Partners to reach their revenue targets.  This position reports to the Director of Channel Marketing and works on a day-to-day basis with the regional sales team.




Job Requirements



  • Proven success in channel marketing in high-tech environment, having worked directly with VARs in developing marketing plans and creating demand to/through channel partners
  • Understands the direct and indirect sales model and VAR dynamics, motivations and business model
  • This role will require business acumen, strategic thinking, creativity, well-developed intuition and hands-on execution skills to be successful
  • Ability to manage diverse partner relationships and expectations, while maintaining NetApp business priorities
  • Ability to influence across a diverse organization at different management levels. Strong leadership and decision making skills – ability to self-govern and motivate others is key
  • Exceptional communicator.  Strong oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting points of views at all levels.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual who has a sense of urgency and a 'can do' attitude
  • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment, including the ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge to current problems
Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.
