As a leader in this role, you will assemble and manage a top-notch pursuit team and collaborate with cross-functional extended engagement teams to ensure success. Your expertise will be crucial in managing large strategic opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from identification to validation and qualification. You'll be the primary focal point and consultant, creating winning strategies, defining client requirements, and participating in complex solution development and negotiations.


To excel in this position, you must possess a clear consultative vision and an in-depth understanding of the client's business, strategy, and organization. You'll be responsible for creating unique and compelling value propositions that clearly articulate the short and long-term business and financial benefits of a partnership with NetApp. Building trusted advisor relationships with senior clients at Federal System Integrators will be a key aspect of your role.


As a Federal Sales Manager, you'll also have the opportunity to coordinate executive meetings and briefings for the Federal System Integrators. You'll be accountable for managing the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of sales engagements, making critical "go/no-go" decisions on behalf of the company.

Job Requirements


  • Excellent communication, presentation, customer service, business, negotiation, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
  • Deep understanding of the complexities of Federal Programs.
  • High energy and ability to thrive in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with key Systems Integrators and identifying program opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region and occasionally outside the region.
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies and account segmentation.
  • Broad exposure to various technologies and concepts in a distributed environment.

Education and Experience


  • 8+ years of experience in selling through Federal System Integrators in the Government verticals.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance preferred.
  • University and Graduate degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services.


The salary range for this position is $284,000 - $347,000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
