Job Summary

Marketing Manager Austria

As a Marketing Manager, based in our Vienna office, you will plan, implement and measure marketing strategies and projects across Austria. You will be responsible for executing global and building local integrated marketing plans, that emphasize funnel acceleration strategies and tactics. Additionally, you will be working closely with both marketing and sales leadership to plan and execute targeted campaigns. The primary intent of the role is to expand the adoption of current customers as well as to position the business for growth by entering new logos and market segments. You will be required to drive the go-to-market strategy based on marketing plans that are consistent with objectives in a high-growth data management and technology environment.

 

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and execute NetApp’s marketing strategy and tactics for Austria, supporting occasionally also the DACH region and cross-area if required. Ensuring alignment between marketing programs and sales objectives.
  • Develop annual marketing plan for Austria for various segments designed to create awareness and build pipeline for NetApp solutions.
  • Identify audience segmentation strategy, vehicle and media mix recommendation, timing and forecast of results. Drive integrated marketing campaigns from inception to optimization with your local and cross-functional corporate marketing team based in EMEA and USA. This will include demand generation, brand awareness, events, field marketing, web/online marketing, communications, Digital and Social.
  • Work with appropriate business unit groups (product marketing and strategy) to integrate existing and develop appropriate messaging platforms, content, and stories from which to build campaigns
  • Brief, guide and work with a set of agencies, enrich your activities with own PR and Social Media activities.
  • Manage project related budgets and responsibility for tracking and monitoring campaign.
  • Strong networking with technology partners, peers, local and international team members.
Job Requirements

The position requires a senior, independent, results-oriented professional with expertise in marketing enterprise software and hardware as well as consumption-based solutions. We operate in a highly competitive, dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires both strategic and tactical execution responsibilities.

 

  • 8-10 years of related experience.
  • Understanding of and interested in current Data Management, Technology and Cloud markets, relevant industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and on cross functional teams.
  • Proficient presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build integrated marketing plans which include campaigns, social media, PR, events and promotions.
  • Ability to present and position marketing plans and concepts to different audiences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in German and English.
  • Passionate networker. High energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for digital, social skills are very highly rated.
  • Knowledge in Creative, CRM and Content Management systems such as Eloqua, Sprinklr, Adobe, etc. is a plus.
  • Requires occasional travel.
Education
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
