Job Summary
The USPS Partner Marketing Manager is a strategic position that works to integrate NetApp marketing strategies and sales goals into the go-to-market plans of USPS solution providers and distributors. This role owns a set of strategic Channel Partners (Distributors/VARs/SPs) and manages the day-to-day relationship with those partners to develop joint marketing plans and drive alignment of NetApp focused priorities. The right candidate will be a collaborative, seasoned channel partner marketeer with an impressive track record, thrives on solving challenges creatively and adept at navigating ambiguity. Success is achieved when marketing spend and programs are maximized, enabling NetApp and its USPS partner ecosystem to reach their revenue targets. This position reports to the Senior Manager of North America Partner Marketing and works on a day-to-day basis with the public sector sales teams.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities
- Work directly with channel partners and NetApp’s Federal and SLED sales teams to define and develop strategic and tactical marketing plans that align with corporate strategy, partners’ go-to-market directions, public sector sales initiatives and will ultimately support sales objectives
- Define and manage priorities for channel marketing activities including integration of NetApp product launches, campaigns and promotions to and with partners
- Manage available partner marketing budgets including ongoing monitoring, program and process reporting and feedback
- Monitor plans, track results and create reports on marketing activities for sales impact and overall success
- Lead and manage key NetApp-led partner events to facilitate executive engagement with partners (e.g. USPS Partner Summit, Executive Partner Council, Partner Academy, etc.)
- Proven success in channel marketing in the high-tech environment, having worked directly with Solution Providers and/or Distributors in developing marketing plans and creating demand to/through channel partners
- This role will require business acumen, strategic thinking, creativity, well-developed intuition and hands-on execution skills to be successful
- Ability to manage diverse partner relationships and expectations, while maintaining NetApp business priorities
- Exceptional communicator. Strong oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting points of views at all levels.
- Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment, including the ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge to current problems
- Team player with excellent project management skills and demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks from conception through implementation
- Ability to travel within the US (~5-10%)
Education
- A minimum of 12 years experience is required, preferably in high tech channel marketing
- Must have worked directly with channel partners for minimum of 5 years
- A Bachelor of Art or Science Degree is required, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in the United States Public Sector market (Federal and SLED) is essential
- Sales experience is a plus, storage and data management experience is a strong plus
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 154,700 - 231,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
