NetApp Data Fabric & Management Product Group (DFMG) is looking for New College Graduates with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline to join the team and help us design and build management solutions used by largest enterprises and organizations in the world to simplify their interaction with the machine generated data across their complex data centers, private and public clouds. At NetApp you will solve the problems of visualizing and interacting with massive amount of data to deliver intelligent operational management, data analytics, and business insights. Knowledge of Java and cloud technologies is a big plus.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:
- Writing or testing high quality code
- Constructing data structures and algorithms for large scale software systems
- Contributing to feature definitions and designs

Skills we are looking for include:
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Java
- Strong knowledge of basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
- Successful completion of one or more operating system courses or related projects is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
- Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
- Creative and analytical approach to problem solving

Desired knowledge, or familiarity, or experience, but not required:
- Java Web Applications in Client Server environment
- Cloud and SaaS technologies such as AWS and Azure
- Message bus and MapReduce technologies
- Building compelling backend application frameworks
- Relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
- NoSQL systems, such as Elasticsearch, and working with Big Data
- Web services, messaging layer using REST, XML, WSDL, etc.
- Test Driven Development (JUnits, Integration testing, etc.)

Responsibility and Interaction:
Responsibility:
- Responsible for a mix of structured and unstructured tasks
- Apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems
- May work with teams across the company in problem solving and design efforts
Interaction:
- Interact primarily with direct manager and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions within the Business Unit as required
- General direction is provided on routine work and detailed direction is provided on new projects and assignments. There will be on-going reviews of activities and priorities
- Participate as an important contributor to team projects

Education

Must have graduated within the past 18 months or will graduate in May/June 2018 with a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
