Job Summary

As a Product Manager you will own delivery of new data protection offerings co-developed with our business partners including ISVs, Service Delivery Partners and SaaS. You will develop requirements and respond to changing and / or competitive environment while communicating product positioning and overall product strategy. A strong understanding of Product and Service offerings and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to your success. This is a strategic and highly visible outbound product leadership role and a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual to learn and grow their skill set.

Essential Functions:
- Own end to end delivery of data protection product and solution go to market
- Drive results in a cross functional group that includes other Product Managers, Technical Marketing, Operations, Alliances and Program Management to ensure successful product launch
- Work with pricing and sales operations team to streamline product go to market and align to partner customer facing sales collateral
- Software licensing and sales operations oversight of partner SKU implementation
- Track and analyze general business indicators including pipeline and revenue
- Present and educate sales and customers
- Represent NetApp at relevant conferences/trade-shows.

Job Requirements

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and lead cross functional teams.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization and partners.
- Product Management experience in the technology industry.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Experience in end to end delivery to enterprise customers of product that includes hardware and software
- Experience in technology ecosystems such as Virtualization and Hybrid Cloud Solutions is highly desirable
- Backup or storage system experience, understanding of data protection market dynamics is highly desirable
- Experience developing MRD/PRD as it relates to enterprise environments

- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured, have wide implications and there are multiple outcomes.
- This individual will apply broad expertise or unique technical/industry knowledge in solving problems that are unique and extremely complex given time, budget and resource constraints.
- Demonstrate leadership and vision in driving organization thru strategic decisions.

- This individual must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
- Limited supervision is provided, as this individual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently.
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and interested in developing into a subject matter expert.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate success through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and groups.


- A B.Tech degree is required, MBA would be preferable.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience is required, with preferably 2+ years experience post MBA.
- Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, complex technical projects.
