Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Program Planning and Execution:
- Define program scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed program plans, including schedules, milestones, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Ensure alignment between cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, QA, and operations.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Facilitate collaboration across teams to identify and resolve technical and organizational challenges.
- Lead program reviews, status updates, and stakeholder meetings.
- Risk and Issue Management:
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact program success.
- Resolve program issues by working collaboratively with stakeholders and escalating when necessary.
- Technical Expertise:
- Understand the technical architecture and components of NetApp’s products and services to effectively manage program delivery.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, resource planning, and adherence to development timelines.
- Process Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement in program management practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the program lifecycle and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to executives and stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Track and report on program performance using KPIs and metrics.
- Provide detailed documentation and post-mortem analysis to capture lessons learned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of experience in program management, project management, or related roles, preferably in the tech industry.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, architectures, and trade-offs.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or similar).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline (e.g., MBA, M.S.).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.Knowledge of cloud computing, storage systems, or enterprise data management solutions.
- Certification in project/program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CSM, SAFe).
The target salary range for this position is $170,000 - 253,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package.
